What is Functional Medicine?
The Functional Medicine model is an individualized, patient centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and underlying causes of the disease and promote optimal wellness.
Who might want to have a Functional medicine visit?
Patients who want to dig deeper into the root cause of their symptoms. Symptoms may include fatigue, sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, irritability, hair loss, chronic stress, digestive issues, brain fog, worsening PMS or cycle irregularities, and unexplained weigh gain or inability to lose weight.
What to expect during your visit?
The initial visit will last for about an hour and will include an in-depth discussion about your history, enviroment and symptoms. Patients will work in partnership with their provider to develope a plan using specialty labs, supplements and lifestyle changes to address the underlying causes of their symptoms.

I am passionate about women and the many challenges we all face on a day to day basis. It is my goal to create positive and lasting relationships with each person I have the privilege of caring for.”
Brynn and her husband are proud parents of two boys. She enjoys being with family and friends and participating in her church. Brynn also loves being outdoors, traveling, and cooking.

Donna Dossett, WHNP-C
“While teaching in a wilderness rehab program for conduct disordered and chemically dependent teenage girls, I discovered that women’s health was something that inspired me. I then reentered the University of Tennessee to obtain my Nursing Degree in women’s health. I consider myself fortunate to have worked in the field of women’s health for over 10 years, with three of those years spent in high risk obstetrics.”
She lives in Knoxville with her two teenage daughters, 2 cats, and a rescue greyhound named Maggie. Her daughters keep her very busy with soccer and dance.
Education: Graduated from University of TN, Knoxville with a BS in Secondary Education in 1989
Nursing Degree: Masters in Nursing from the University of TN, Knoxville with a women’s health focus

Given the amount of time and complexity for these visits cash/CC payments are required. However, insurance will be utilized to help cover some labs.
